Los Tweens & Teens announced the expansion of its Board of Experts in March. Together these women and men will contribute ongoing content to our growing Los Tweens & Teens media platform with expert tips, ideas and resources for parents in areas related to sports, education and emotional well-being.
Noemi Lung Zaharia: Two-time Olympic medalist and founder of AQIndex, Inc., a revolutionary athletic testing company, will focus her efforts on creating content that focuses on sports to help build positive self-esteem and motivation in kids as they grow. Zaharia is originally from Romania and fluent in three languages.
Lina Acosta Sandaal, MA, LMFT is a psychotherapist, child development expert and founder of Stop Parenting Alone, a parenting and therapy center in Miami, FL. She is the parenting expert on Telemundo’s national morning show Un Nuevo Dia, a co-chair from the Florida Maternal Mental Health Collaborative and a consultant for MomsRising, a national organization advocating for children and family rights
Kathryn M. Nuñez: An elementary school teacher with a specialization in English for fifth through ninth grade and first-generation Latina of Cuban descent, Nuñez has been contributing to the platform since 2012. She will continue to offer specific insights as an educator to help parents overcome the challenges children face as they enter grade three through middle school, as well as other topics related to current educational issues.
Fernando L. Rodríguez: Director of MCG Latino, the Hispanic marketing practice of Moore Communications Group. Rodríguez will provide insights and personal anecdotes about raising three bicultural and bilingual teenagers in America and the importance of a father’s role in the life of his daughters.
