Recovering from Dry Winter Skin

Cold weather doesn’t plague us as much in Miami as it does our friends up north – especially this year!  It wasn’t until my ski trip to Vermont that I experienced the dry skin my amigos up north complain about.  I found myself reaching for all kinds of sooth body washes, oils, lotions and lip balms to keep my skin moisturized.

When I returned to Miami, I was pleasantly surprised to find two boxes waiting for me.  One with Neutrogena Rainbath Refreeshing Shower and Bath Gel and Body Oil and the second with Lubriderm Lotions.  I immediately put them to the test.  Here’s a break down of how they work:

Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing Shower and Bath Gel – I love the scent of this product and enjoy that it cleans yet softens the skin at the same time.  The pump bottle makes it easy to use.

Neutrogena Body Oil – My grandmother swore by Avon’s ‘Skin So Soft’ and used it daily after her bath to keep her skin soft.  The Neutrogena Body Oil reminds me of this product but without the oily feeling.  It has a great subtle fragrance that won’t take away from your favorite perfume.

Lubriderm Daily Moisture Lotions – Ranging in options form fragrance-free to Shea plus Calming Lavender and Jasmine (my favorite), the Lubriderm line of lotions is great for using right after showering.

These products were just what my skin was craving.  Besides getting dry winter skin, moisturizing is an important part of a healthy body-care regimen.  Our amiga Lorraine Ladish recently shared her lifetime habits (and beauty secrets) on being fabulous at 50, moisturizing daily was right at the top of the list.  Since she looks absolutely FAB, I took these tips to heart and have added the Neutrogena and Lubriderm body wash, oil and lotion to my daily beauty routine.
